About the climb
Sa Calobra climbs from the small bay of the same name on the north-west coast of Mallorca, in the Serra de Tramuntana, Spain. It starts almost at sea level, at 38 m, and climbs 10.0 km to 716 m: 679 m of climbing at 6.8% on average.
It is the most even climb on this list. Nearly every 500 m section averages between 5 and 8%, with one 500 m stretch at 10% around 8.5 km, and the last 500 m ease to 4%. The steepest 200 m on our track reaches 12.1%. The route map shows why the gradient stays so regular: the road zigzags across the slope instead of going straight up it.
Pacing tip: at 3.0 W/kg a 75 kg rider needs 47 min. Even climbs like this one are good for a steady threshold-style effort: pick a power you can hold for the whole time and leave a little for the 10% section near the top.

Real climbs take longer when you start too hard, stop, or ride into a headwind. Treat the number as the pace to aim for, not a promise.
